The Kenya Sevens Rugby Team is absolutely fabulous,their perfomances absolutely stunning but the Safari Sevens website Dismal! According to the website the 2009 Tusker Safari Sevens is poised to take place on 19th to 21st June, 2009 at the venue:Rugby Football Union of East Africa(RFUEA) grounds ,Ngong Road.But i believe the current sponsor is mean or the organisers peg little value on the need for a proper and appealing website.(see website screenshot)
No wonder the event has not been included in the IRB Board World Rugby Sevens calendar series despite the impressive rankings and performances of the Kenya 7's Rugby Team. Furthermore the event has not been effectively marketed both locally and internationally!(Where are the Kenya Tourism Board and Brand Kenya initiative executives....still sleeping?).This blog beats you to it despite the huge differences in the marketing budget.As a Country Its time we embraced effective internet marketing !
But if you are interested in the fixtures, dates ,tickets for the 2009 Kenya Tusker Safari Sevens taking place on 19 to 21 June 2009 the Kenya Rugby Football Union website is perhaps more authoritative!
